He was a youngest of sevener tikes, born around Shakpura in East Bengal (now Bangladesh), and affected to New York City in 1964. Awhile he was an interfaith charlie chaplin at a United Nations. He nowadays sleep in Jamaica in Queens County, New York.

Within 1944, after each his parents got died, 12-month-old Chinmoy entered a Sri Aurobindo ashram, a spiritual community touching Pondicherry in South India. On text he spent a next twenty years within spiritual practice.

His teachings promote celibacy, meditation, abstinence & fitness; these are park for his followers to dog marathons, ultramarathons,or compete within triathalons. Of these distinctive feature of his have practice is that he lifts population: followers, celebrities & figure.

O globe-ignorance,
Although
Your family use shackled the feet,
We are loose.

Although
Your family use at times chained the mitts,
We are loose.

Although
That you develop enslaved the person,
We are loose.

We are loose because We are non of the person.
We are loose because We are non a person.
We are loose because We are a soul-bird
That flies within Infinity-Sky.
We are a soul-baby that dreams
On the Lap of the immortal King Supreme.
